The client needed to build a new hot-water heating plant for production facilities, with the goal of ensuring operational continuity, high energy efficiency, and full compliance with the most advanced environmental standards.
The project required a B.A.T. (Best Available Techniques) solution, meaning an installation designed with the highest technical and performance standards available on the market.


Implemented solution


ICI Powering Evolution contributed to the project by designing and supplying four thermal units, developed around four key drivers:
  • Overall efficiency
  • Atmospheric emissions
  • Modularity
  • Safety and remote management

The plant, with a total thermal output of 30 MW, was configured with four generators operating in cascade to:
  • Ensure the required temperature is always maintained
  • Avoid any production downtime
  • Provide complete system back-up

Each generator is equipped with flue gas/water heat exchangers to maximize heat recovery and further improve total system efficiency.


Achieved results


Thanks to the use of next-generation burners, the plant achieves extremely low emission levels:
  • NOx < 50 mg/Nm³
  • CO = 0 mg/Nm³

These values are significantly lower than current European regulations, confirming a forward-thinking design aimed at minimizing environmental impact.
