Sierolat, a leading dairy company entrusted ICI Powering Evolution with the development of a new steam plant to support its milk processing line.
The installed boiler delivers 15,000 kg/h of steam at 15 bar, ensuring high performance and continuous operation.

The Solution

The project included the installation of a high-capacity steam generator equipped with a highly flexible combustion system.


DUAL-FUEL COMBUSTION SYSTEM

The generator is equipped with two gas trains, allowing the use of:

• Natural gas
• LPG (liquefied petroleum gas)
• Or a blend of both, used either alternately or simultaneously, with no need for system changes.

This setup provides operational flexibility, fuel supply autonomy, and cost optimization.


INTELLIGENT CONTROL SYSTEM

The plant is managed by the ICI ETERM PLC, which ensures:

• Energy monitoring and metering
• Real-time efficiency tracking
• Advanced system diagnostics and automation

HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM

An economizer has been installed on the flue gas line to maximize overall efficiency by recovering residual heat.
