The client needed to replace an old superheated steam production plant with a new, more efficient solution with higher capacity to meet the updated plant requirements. Due to tight timelines, a turnkey project was essential, covering everything from removal of the old boiler to installation and supply of the new system.

The solution

ICI Powering Evolution, together with a local partner, supplied and installed a GX S boiler with a capacity of 10 t/h of superheated steam at 5.5 bar, with an efficiency of 94%.
The system included:

• GSS 72 system allowing up to 72 hours of unattended operation
• Economizer for energy recovery
• Modulating feed system

Commissioning was performed by ICI Powering Evolution technicians, with the thermal power plant approved in accordance with current regulations. The maximum capacity was confirmed by the client through a continuous 72-hour test, which also recorded NOx emissions below 100 mg/kWh.

Results obtained
