Accumulators
The steam accumulators are appliances that operate as a steam storage and are used in all those applications that have steam requests with very high demand in a very short time.
To meet the requests of these applications (for example polystyrene production), instead of installing a big steam boiler suitable to satisfy the peak request, install a smaller steam boiler, which when there is no request from the system “charges” the accumulator with energy in the form of steam that condensates in the water contained in the accumulator, so that this energy is available (as steam with lower pressure values) at the time of the very short and sudden system request.
