Alpe Pragas Factory – Renewal of the thermal plant

The client required an upgrade of the thermal power plant to improve operational efficiency and ensure more autonomous and safe steam management, in compliance with current regulations and production needs.

The solution

The project involved a complete renovation of the thermal power plant, by installing a GSX 1100 steam generator at 6 bar, equipped with:

• Eco-G 2 economizer for energy recovery
• VRC condensate collection vessel for optimal waste management
• Modulating feed group with 2 pumps for precise and reliable feeding
• Global Safety System GSS 72, allowing up to 72 hours of autonomous operation without continuous supervision

Results obtained

Thanks to this turnkey solution, the client was able to:

• Achieve a thermal efficiency of up to 95%
• Reduce NOx emissions below 100 mg/kWh
• Manage the system without the need for constantly present licensed personnel
